The Right To Read | Free Film Screening & Panel Discussion
In this documentary, NAACP activist Kareem Weaver sets out to reform the low reading scores in his home of Oakland, California. Featuring stories from Weaver's own life, a teacher and two American families, The Right to Read dives into the fight to provide our youngest generation with the most foundational skill for life-long success: the ability to read.
Join us for a Free Screening of on April 10, 2025 in the NFA Main Campus Auditorium. The event will run from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM, including a panel discussion after the film. The free screening of this film is being offered in collaboration with .
This form can also be used to volunteer for a wide variety of initiatives to help support our scholars.
